Ram Ghat holds immense importance because it is believed to be the place where Lord Rama, along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, spent a significant part of their 14 years of exile (Vanvas) as mentioned in the epic Ramayana.
According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama is said to have bathed in the waters of the Mandakini River at Ram Ghat, which is why it is considered a sacred bathing spot. Pilgrims come to the ghat to take a dip in the river, believing it will purify their souls and wash away sins.
Ram Ghat
