Mathura is one of the seven sacred cities (Sapt Puri) in Hinduism and holds immense importance as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. According to Hindu tradition, Lord Krishna was born to Vasudeva and Devaki in the prison of King Kamsa in Mathura.
Vrindavan is considered the spiritual home of Lord Krishna and is famous for being the place where Krishna spent his childhood and youth, performing his divine Leelas (pastimes) and engaging with his devotees, especially the gopis (milkmaids), Radha, and other companions.
